Social Media Training with Thunder::tech

A one-time opportunity to train island staff on Social Media will take place at the Put-in-Bay Town Hall on Thursday, June 6th, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a critical opportunity to learn how to best promote your business and the Island. The public relations firm that is presenting the program, thunder::tech, is the company that is working with the Safe Island Task Force to help solve some of the problems associated with some of the big weekends that have been experienced in recent years on Put-in-Bay.

The program will be directed at business owners or to whomever is in-charge of the Social Media for their business. Training Day is a day that will center on overall best practices to help both you/your business thrive. Best practices will come in the form of social media training, preparation for interacting with the media, inperson executions with customers/island visitors as well as overall language/voice for handling frequently asked questions. The purpose of

Training Day is to unite the island and establish the message of: “One Island, One Voice.” Attendees will be given handouts and takeaways during the day that they will be able to bring back to their own teams and keep for future use. Personalized mini social media audits will also be created for those who RSVP’d before the deadline at the end of May. These audits will come from Thunder::tech’s social media team in regards to how you/your business is doing and what you can do to help your profiles thrive even more. The event is being sponsored by the Safe Island Task Force and the Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce.

There is no cost for this program.
